My Name Is Courage

What should I do?

I AM CURRENTLY IN AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP.
What should I do?

First of all, I’m so incredibly sorry. I wouldn’t wish your current position on anyone. It’s impossible to guess what your current circumstances are or how to best help you, but there are so many resources (most free) for victims of domestic abuse that can help you on a personal level.

If you’re in Utah or Idaho, I would recommend CAPSA. They are a nonprofit domestic violence, sexual abuse, and rape recovery center. They provide services for women, men, and children impacted by abuse. All their services are free and confidential.

Many states across the U.S. offer free resources for victims of domestic abuse, similar to CAPSA. These services often include counseling, shelter, legal assistance, and advocacy. To find local support in your area, you can contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline, which provides confidential assistance 24/7. They can connect you to resources specific to your state.
